| Eruvaka Purnima 2019 |
Eruvaka Purnima is a farmer’s festival and is celebrated specially among the farmers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. This festival is celebrated on full moon (purnima) day in the hindu lunar month of Jyesta (May/June).
On this day, farmers decorate their cattle with garlands and offer special treatment as the thanks giving ceremony. Also offer Puja to the sample of seeds also known as Navadhanya and agricultural implements. In 2019, Eruvaka Purnima is on Monday, June 17th.
Eruvaka falls on the Purnima day, Some times which comes after Mrigashira Karthe or Mirgami (Mirgam). It is believed that even little showers happened on Mrigashira Karthe day, that year would be a wonderful year for farmers.
